Meet Dr. Matt Somerville
Matthew R. Somerville, D.D.S., continues the legacy of professional, state of the art dentistry in a caring way as practiced by his father, Tim Somerville, D.D.S. Also a Trojan, Matt feels excited and honored to be a part of this long-established practice. He is committed to providing the highest possible level of dentistry and achieving total patient comfort.
A native son of Westlake Village, Dr. Somerville graduated from California Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Science. He then pursued graduate level study in Biology at California State University, Northridge, engaging in basic science research relating to multiple sclerosis before beginning dental school.
Having grown up in family dentistry, Dr. Somerville prides himself on bringing a calm demeanor, strong communication skills, and a sense of humor to each and every patient so that together they can establish a mutually beneficial relationship of trust and transparency for long-term dental care and health. Dr. Somerville is also fluent in both written and spoken Spanish.
In addition to several other professional roles, he currently volunteers as an Adjunct Faculty at USC, where he is a part of a team of dentists teaching dental students the foundations of becoming a successful dentist.
